There’s a good chance the issue lies in your car’s air suspension system. After all, there’s a lot of things going on with your compressor. One of the most critical pieces being your valve block. And all it takes is a small leak or damage to lead to some massive problems. So, join us today as we take a look at how to replace your BMW 5 Series (F07/ F11) valve block.
But First… What Does Your Valve Block Do?
Before we get started, let’s cover the big question on your mind.
In short, your valve block sends air from your compressor to your air springs/ struts. It also commands the amount of air that will enter each of your air bags in any road condition.
In other words, it’s integral to that BMW 5’s luxury ride. It’s also needed to ensure your car height sits at the right level.
Yet, things fall apart with time. Wear/ tear and rotting will cause leaks to your valve block. Let these issues persist, and soon your air compressor overworks and breaks as well. And that’s a replacement no one enjoys making. So, listen closely to your car, and replace your valve block the instant you notice any issues.
